Your privacy is the foundation of our work. This policy explains what information we collect — on this website and in the course of care — and how we protect it.

Information you share with us

When you book a consultation or send a message, we receive the details you provide: your name, contact information, scheduling preferences and anything you choose to tell us. We use these solely to respond to your request and arrange care. Please avoid sending detailed health information through website forms.

Health information in care

Once you become a client, your protected health information is safeguarded under HIPAA and Virginia law. Clinical notes are stored in an encrypted, HIPAA-compliant record system. We never sell health information, and we disclose it only with your written consent or as the law narrowly requires — such as imminent safety risks, court orders, or suspected abuse of a minor or vulnerable adult. Your therapist will explain these limits clearly at your first session.

Website data

This site does not use advertising trackers. We collect only basic, anonymous usage statistics to keep the site working well. Online therapy sessions run over encrypted video and are never recorded.

Your rights

You may request a copy of your records, ask us to correct them, or ask how your information has been shared. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the contact page and we will respond within 30 days.
